We understand the very complex landscape of corporate taxation. The laws/regulations are constantly changing. Accordingly, we regularly monitor the federal, state/local, and foreign tax laws. We’re also passionate about the inner workings of hundreds of corporate tax departments. Being in constant touch with Heads/Directors of Tax, we inquire where the different functions are handled. For example, a major bank has their Corporate Income tax work done at their NYC headquarters, but their Shared Services group in FL performs the Indirect tax functions (Sales/Property and Payroll taxes). Also, we find out who is outsourcing their tax functions as opposed to bringing this work in-house.
